World AIDS Day

People all over the world observe the “World AIDS Day” on the first day of December every year. This day has been designated to unite people in the fight against AIDS and the associated stigma. Millions of people suffer from this disease every year, with the number steadily growing, owing to the lack of awareness about how it is transmitted. More than the illness, it is the extent of discrimination AIDS patients face that worsens their condition and causes them to succumb to mental health problems like depression or anxiety disorders.
