PTSD Awareness Month

Since 2014, June is observed as the post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month to encourage all to educate public about the disease, its symptoms and effects, the people it affects and the available treatments. Through monthlong nationwide campaigns, government agencies try to enable people to help make PTSD patients’ lives a little easier. The month also provides an opportunity to advance the discussion on diagnosis, treatment and care for those suffering from the effects of trauma and help them find the resources they need to start the healing process.
