National Minority Mental Health Month

Mental health conditions affect millions of Americans each year. However, people from minority culture are often subjected to more barriers to recovery due to a host of reasons, including lack of access to quality health care, language barriers and higher levels of stigma, among others. Since 2008, July is observed as the National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month that aims to improve access to mental health treatment and services for multicultural communities through increased public awareness across the U.S.
