National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which presents an opportunity to individuals and organizations to learn about the signs of child abuse and work towards preventing child abuse and neglect and promote social and emotional well-being of children and families. Having first observed the month in 1983, the Office on Child Abuse and Neglect continues to coordinate activities, prepare promotional materials and host forums with the focus to prevent, educate and spread awareness about child abuse and neglect. The theme for 2018 is “Help Great Childhoods Happen.”
